Peer Pressure

You would think that peer pressure only happens during the teenage years and even into the beginning of adulthood. Not true. This phenomenon very well can start from the moment you come to this earth.

It starts as a way to survive when you are a baby. At that point you have to go with the flow. Then as you grow, your peers become part of your life and by being part of your life, they influence your decisions. So technically everything that you do, you do it in community.

Now why I am being so philosophical about this, well cause I want an iPhone. I posted the question on my FB page if I should get the phone or not and the decision was a unanimous yes. So know the pressure is on and I think I am going to cave in.

I Want an iPhone!

It is so bad to want an iPhone? I mean, I don't "need it", I CAN(maybe) live without it, but it is such a cool gadget. I know I will be hooked and play with it all day long if I get one. I just want to be like those "cool kids" with the latest stuff. But then I think, it is expensive, I can do so much with that money. Urrrgh, decisions, decisions.

This takes me back to when the iPod came out. My husband had to have it so we bought it. Now he barely uses it and of course it is outdated. I am afraid that once we get it, the next generation will appear and boom we will need to upgrade.

As I mom, I struggle with these decisions a lot. I feel selfish wanting such a thing but then I see other people getting it and makes me feel like the "odd ball". Maybe I just suck it up and get it

Welcome to my blog!

This blogspot is dedicated to those toddler's moms who live in Florida. My goal is to share information with other moms who are in the similar situation. I am a working mom of an almost 2 year old son (his birthday is in July) and my time is limited.

I've noticed that is challenging to find places, groups, deals, etc. for moms like me and I know I am not the only one out there. So I figure that this could be a great vehicle where I can vent and share my stories with all of you.

For example, I am planning my son's birthday and I struggle to find a great indoor location. The majority of the places available are either too expensive or simply not for his age and it is frustrating. I have looked, and looked, and looked some more and nothing. My brain is fried. I am running out of ideas and out of time.

Anyway, love to hear your thoughts.
